41-6a-1114: Bicycles Must Have Lamps and Reflective Material (1) During the hours described in Section 41-6a-1603, every bicycle must have: (a) A white light on the front that is visible from at least 500 feet, and approved by the department. (b) Either: (i) A red reflector on the rear that is visible from 500 feet when directly in front of a motor vehicle's headlight. (ii) A red flashing or steady taillight on the rear that is visible from 500 feet. (2) During the hours described in Section 41-6a-1603, every bicycle must have: (a) Reflective material on both sides that is visible from 500 feet when directly in front of a motor vehicle's headlight. (b) Alternatively, a lighted lamp that is visible from both sides and at least 500 feet. (3) In addition to the above, a bicycle or rider may be equipped with additional lights or reflectors.
