According to Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes, any bicycle being used during the times mentioned in Section 12-201(B) must have a front lamp that emits a white light visible from a distance of at least 1,000 feet. In addition, the same bicycles must also have a rear light that emits a red light visible from at least 1,000 feet away. However, these requirements do not apply if the bicycle is being ridden on a street or highway with a speed limit of 25 miles per hour or less. These laws were first added in 2003 and have since been amended in 2005.
